Bobie T. Jackson

Bobie T. Jackson, 82, died Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at his home. Bobie was born August 25, 1938 in Brownsville TN, the son of Melvin and Clyte (Roman) Jackson. He graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1956. Bobie attended Black Hawk West for CPA. Bobie married Hattie Williams on March 28, 1969 in Kewanee; they later divorced.Bobie is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Hattie; daughters, Anita and Karlene Jackson; seven grandchildren, Darerin Murray, Aubrion Jackson, Kameron Lomas, Richard Lomas, China Lomas, Brittany Scott, and Jamas Johnson; and dedicated cousin, Dorothy (Curt) Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents.Bobie served in the United States Air force, where he played basketball. He worked at the Elgin Mental Health Center when he was younger. Bobie later worked at International Harvester as a machinist. He was a member at Second Baptist Church, where he was a deacon. Bobie enjoyed fishing at Johnson lake, gardening and going to church. He especially loved spending time with family and friends.Funeral services will be 11:00 am, Monday, January 4, 2020 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Pastor Lawrence D. Anderson. Funeral will also be live-streamed on Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home Facebook page at 11:00 am, Monday, January 4, 2020. Visitation will be from 9:00 - 11:00 am, Monday, January 4, 2020 at the funeral home. Masks required and please observe social distancing guidelines. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church.
