Bryce D. Anderson

Bryce D. Anderson, 82, of Kewanee, formerly of Morris, Illinois, died March 22, 2022, at Courtyard Estates. Bryce was born April 30, 1939, in Morris, Illinois, the son of Alden T. and Lois M. (Johnson) Anderson. Bryce was raised on a farm in Lisbon, IL. He graduated from Lisbon-Newark Schools with the class of 1957. He married Phyllis L. Harrod on March 14, 1983; she preceded him in death on November 20, 2021. Bryce is survived by one step-daughter, Cheryl Lynes, Kewanee; one step son, David (Candi) Lynes, Kewanee; four grandchildren, Devon (Brittany) Gentry, Kirstyn Lynes, Cassidy Lynes, Isaac Lynes; two great grandchildren, Corbin Gentry and Rylynn Gentry. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife.Bryce served in the United States Army after high school. Bryce worked as a Machinist at Caterpillar, Aurora, IL for over 30 years, retiring in 1992. Bryce was a member of Helmar Lutheran Church, Newark, IL. He enjoyed watching high school and college sports with his friends; he especially enjoyed watching basketball. A private graveside service will be held for immediate family at Helmar Lutheran Cemetery, Newark, IL, where Military Rites will be accorded. Pastor Tyrone Baker will officiate.
