Carole Nadine Busboom, 84, of Buda, died Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Kewanee Care Home. Nadine was born May 10, 1939, in Princeton, the daughter of Frederick and Letha (Winslow) Eggimann. Nadine graduated from Sheffield High School with the class of 1958. Nadine married John G. Busboom on June 3, 1972, in Buda; he survives.
Nadine is also survived by their son, Michael (Amy) Busboom, Kewanee; grandchildren, Breanne (Quentin) Bryner, Kewanee, Rayanne (Jordy Zapata-Astorga) Busboom, Kewanee, Catie Griffin, Kewanee, Sara Griffin, Kewanee; great grandchildren, Paisley Smith, Jovie Bryner, Ismael Astorga; two nephews, James (Connie) Eggimann, Jerry (Shelly) Eggimann; sister-in-law, Linda Morse. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, James Eggimann; sister-in-law, Eva Ruth Busboom; and aunts and uncles.
Nadine was a homemaker. She worked for Boss Glove and Kewanee Headwear prior to getting married. Nadine was a member of the Methodist Church in Buda and later the First United Church of Christ in Sheffield. Nadine loved Avon and enjoyed giving it as gifts. She also loved cats, gardening, and hot fudge sundaes. Nadine enjoyed car rides with John. Nadine also enjoyed spending time with her family. She dedicated her life to being a grandma, she never missed an event.
Visitation will be from 1:30 – 2:30 pm, Monday, April 15, 2024, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm, Monday, April 15, 2024, at the funeral home. Reverend Carole Hoke will officiate. Burial will be in Hopeland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee or the First United Church of Christ, Sheffield.
