Dale Verdick

Dale Verdick, 82, of Kewanee, died Thursday, March 31, 2022, at his home. Dale was born October 4, 1939, in Kewanee, the son of William A. and Blanche M. (Schmidt) Verdick. Dale married Sandra "Sandy" Livingston on March 4, 1995, in Delevan, Wisconsin; she survives. Dale is also survived by six children, Diana (Patrick) Vitrano, Mississippi, Allen (Missi) Verdick, Youngsville, LA, Angie (Ronnie) Van Daele, Toulon, Dale Livingston, Kewanee, Douglas (Jamie) Livingston, Kewanee; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren and one on the way; numerous nieces and nephews; and siblings, George Verdick, Delevan, WI, Marilyn Peterson, Galva, Mildred (Shelby) Weaver, Kingsburg, IL, Selma Maise, Delevan, WI, Linda Verdick, Kewanee. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers; and three sisters. Dale worked for the water and street department for the City of Kewanee. After retirement from the city, he worked doing construction for LIUNA, 852. He enjoyed going to auctions and expanding his collection. Dale enjoyed playing the lotteries. He also enjoyed camping and fishing in his younger years. He loved being the candy man for the kids and grandkids. Dale was a very giving guy and would give you the shirt off his back. Graveside services will be at 11:00 am, Friday, April 8, 2022, at Pleasant View Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will follow at the American Legion. Pastor Andrew Christman will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Ronald McDonald House.
