Diana Anderson Obituary

Diana Anderson, 65, of Prophetstown, formerly of Kewanee, died Monday, May 27, 2024, at CGH Medical Center, Sterling. Diana was born June 2, 1958, in Kewanee, the daughter of Clinton Ray and Nancy Jane (Jagers) Miller. Diana attended Kewanee High School. She attended the University of Iowa, obtaining a master’s degree in social work. She married Luther Anderson, they later divorced and remained friends.

Diana is survived by her mother, Nancy; four sons, Michael Anderson, Kewanee; Dane (Kathleen) Anderson, Peoria, Phil (Summer) Anderson, Vale, NC, Heath (Alyssa) Anderson, Sterling; 19 grandchildren; and a brother, Michael Miller, Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her father, Clinton Ray; and niece, Rusty Miller; and a sister-in-law, Linda Miller.

Diana worked as a licensed clinical social worker for Antioch Group, Peoria and the South Side Office of Concern; she had a focus in transitioning inmates and homeless into the workforce.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Diana was a talented musician and a gifted writer. She enjoyed playing guitar and piano, she had an ear for music and enjoyed playing bluegrass. She also was an accomplished painter. She was a Toast Master. Diana also enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Kewanee.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at the funeral home.
