Doreen Miller

Doreen Miller, 82, of Kewanee, formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at her home. Doreen was born September 2, 1938 in Chicago, the daughter of Joe and Jean Goodman. Doreen married Bernard Miller in Florida; he preceded her in death in 2003. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Education from Northeastern Illinois University.Doreen is survived by two sons, Matt Miller, Kewanee and Steve (Ann) Dent, Evanston, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Bernard.Doreen worked in the Children's Theater at Eastview Christian Church, Skokie, IL; where she worked in upstage, downstage production, and custom set designs. She was an accomplished painter, and enjoyed reading. Doreen was a pillar of the community and was always there to give a lending hand. She especially loved spending time with her family.Private family services will take place at a later date.
