Dorothy L. Tank

Dorothy L. Tank, 79, of Kewanee, died Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Dorothy was born December 29, 1940, the daughter of Daniel and Violet (Hurstrom) Vancil. She attended schools in Alpha. Dorothy married Harold G. Lain and later married Ronald W. Tank Sr. on November 29, 1988.Dorothy is survived by her two daughters, Connie (Duane) Wexell, Cambridge, and Teresa Tank, Kewanee; one step-son, Ronnie Tank Jr.; one grandson, Kenny G. Lain, Kewanee; three sisters, Alice Wilson, Sharon Taflinger, and Linda Eastburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Imogene, and Beverly; husband, Ronald W. Tank Sr.; one step-son, Michael R. Tank.Dorothy worked at McKee Diner in Alpha and later for Maytag, where she retired from in 1995 after 32 years. She enjoyed crafts and genealogy. She also enjoyed her favorite cat, Sweet Pea. Dorothy was a member of the Union Local 2063 and the First Christian Church of Kewanee. Private Graveside Services will be Tuesday, December 1, 2020 at Wethersfield Cemetery. Pastor Doug Hamilton will officiate.There will be no visitation.
