Earl S. Screeton, 92, of Kewanee, died Thursday, December 15, 2022, at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center. Earl was born March 13, 1930, in Chillicothe, the son of George A. and Maude M. (Williamson) Screeton. Earl attended Henry Schools. He attended a technical school to learn how to print newspapers. Earl married Regina Wahl on November 25, 1950.
Earl is survived by three daughters, Carol (David) Stout of Kewanee, Holly Globstad of Castroville, TX, Lynn Rowley of Kewanee; one son, Steven (Lana) Screeton of San Marcos, TX; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and son-in-law, Dean Mathew. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; daughter, Debra Mathew; sister, Jean Screeton; and two sons-in-law, Lester Globstad, Jim Rowley.
Earl was a linotype printer for the Star Courier. He was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish. Earl liked computers, motorcycles, and photography. He was an avid reader. Earl enjoyed traveling with Regina. He also enjoyed going out to shoot with his grandson. He especially liked spending time with his family.
