Edmund P. Clong

Edmund P. Clong, 67, of Davenport, formerly of Kewanee, died Monday, April 25, 2022, at Good Samaritan Society, Davenport. Edmund was born February 23, 1955, in Kewanee, the son of Phillip A. and Amelia M. (Wysowski) Clong. He graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1973. Edmund married Rebecca Ross in June 1974; they later divorced. He married Danna Lydy on December 21, 1991; they later divorced but remained close friends.Edmund is survived by three sons, Stephen (Kayla) Clong, Geneseo, Matthew (Jill) Clong, Moline, Peter (Wendy) Clong, Michigan; eight grandchildren; one sister, Rosanne (David) Anderson, Kewanee; several nieces and nephews; and one great niece. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister; two brothers; and a granddaughter. Edmund worked for Case-IH as a painter. Edmund liked putting together any models he could get his hands on and loved antique cars.Visitation will be from 10:30 - 11:30 am, Friday, April 29, 2022, at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:30 am, Friday, April 29, 2022, at the funeral home. Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck will officiate. Burial will be in South Pleasant View Cemetery.
