Gerald W. “Jerry” Steltenpohl, 81, passed away, Friday, September 6, 2024, at 7:13 am, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Jerry was born November 6, 1942, in Kewanee to Art and Jean (Davis) Steltenpohl. He attended Kewanee schools and graduated in 1960. Jerry married Vikki (Victoria) Dillon on August 2, 1968, and they just celebrated their 56th anniversary; she survives.

Jerry is also survived by their children, Pamela Baumgardner, Kewanee, and Jeffrey (Kristen) Steltenpohl, Forest Grove, OR, grandchildren, Jaimee, Ethan (Aimee), Sylvia, PFC Jake, and Khloe; and a sister, Delores “Dodie” VanDamme, Atkinson. He will be missed by many aunts, in laws, nieces and nephews. He was a member of the US Army and was stationed in Vietnam in 1968. He was an iron pourer at Walworth and retired from John Deere Harvester, in East Moline, IL. Jerry was an avid golfer for many years, enjoying the old guys morning group. He fished almost daily at the canal in Annawan and his home on the canal on the Weeki Wachee River in Florida. We know the fish will be wondering where he is in October. He was a life member of the VFW post #8078, Kewanee.  Jerry also enjoyed driving everywhere seeing new and different places, including Thailand, Turkey, Wales, Scotland, England, Spain and most of mid Europe.
