Glenda Miller Obituary

Glenda S. Miller, nee Grove, 71, of Kewanee, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2024, at OSF Richard L Owens Hospice Home, Peoria. Glenda was born December 2, 1952, in Canton, IL, the daughter of Glenn D. and Barbara J. (Newton) Grove. She attended Wethersfield Schools, graduating with the class of 1971.

Glenda is survived by her significant other, Duane Kelley, Kewanee; siblings, Gloria (Rob) Danielson, Bloomington, Robert Grove, Lakeland, FL; granddaughter, Brittany Weeks; great grandson, Nolan; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Benjamin Miller; and a brother, Rodney Grove.

Glenda worked as a manager at Aldi. She previously worked at Anthony’s Restaurant, Kewanee Hospital, and Royal Oaks Nursing Home. She enjoyed cheerleading at Wethersfield during her high school career. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Kewanee. She was an enthusiastic fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and the Chicago Bears, her loyalty unwavering through every season. She was a Harley Davidson fan. Above all, Glenda will be remembered for her great sense of humor.

A private graveside service will be at a later date. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
