Gregory "Greg" P. Anderson

Gregory “Greg” P. Anderson, 73, of Norman, OK, formerly of Kewanee, died Thursday, June 30, 2022, at the Norman Regional Hospital, Norman, OK. He was born July 17, 1948, in Kewanee, the son of Leonard “Yit” and Lillian (Rynearson) Anderson.  

Gregory is survived by his sister, Janice (David) Cook, Kewanee; nieces, Lindsey (Steve) Dana, Kewanee, Laura (Dana) Schaefer, Kewanee; three great nieces, Laini, Gracie, and Lilian; two great nephews, Nathan and Benjamin; and two great great nieces, Everlee and Aliyana. Also surviving are several cousins and three very special friends, Denean Milligan, Jackie Engleman, and Joan Knudsen. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Gregory attended Kewanee schools and graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1966. He worked at Hardee’s as a regional manager and as a general manager for the Sonic Drive-In Restaurant, Norman, OK, retiring in 2019.

Greg moved to Norman, OK in 1970. He enjoyed golfing and cheering on the Oklahoma Sooners and Oklahoma State football. Greg was also an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and Bears. Gregory loved spending some of his free time at his favorite watering hole “The Mont” with his friends. He took pride in planting his flowers and working in the yard. Last but certainly not least, one of his favorite pastimes from childhood on was tormenting his little sister, Jan.

Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 am on July 24, 2022, at The Mont, Norman, Oklahoma. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Please leave an online condolence for Greg’s family at www.golnickschuenemanfh.com.
