Jacquelyn Verscha Obituary

Jacquelyn “Jacque” S. Verscha, 71, of Kewanee, died Monday, September 19, 2022, Kewanee Care Home. Jacque was born January 27, 1951, in Kewanee, the daughter of Eugene and Frances (Boswell) Verscha. She attended Kewanee Schools, graduating with the class of 1969. She also attended the first truck driving class at Black Hawk College.

Jacque is survived by her special friend, Kathy Meyer, Kewanee; one sister, Teresa (Kenneth) DeWolfe; three brothers, Eugene Jr. (Lynn) Verscha, Toulon, Bill (Jodi) Verscha, Kewanee, Tony (Brenda) Verscha, Kewanee; many nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Jacque was an over the road semitruck driver for Purdy Brothers and Bell Trucking. She also worked for Galva Foundry, Great Dane, and CSI Homes. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed woodworking and remodeling the inside of her home into a cabin. Jacque also enjoyed watching the Kewanee Ballhawks. Jacque was an animal lover.

A Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 - 5:00 pm, Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the American Legion, Kewanee. Memorials may be left at the funeral home in care of Jacque’s family for the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee.
