Janice "Jan" David

Janice R. "Jan" David, 75, of Kewanee, died Monday, May 2, 2022, at her daughter's home. Jan was born April 17, 1947, in Annawan, the daughter of Brian and Bessie McNeill. Jan attended beautician school at Twinkle's Beauty School in Kewanee. Jan is survived by five children, Sarah (Jimmy) Rodela, Kewanee, Theresa (Shiana) David, Kewanee, Lorie (Jeff) Daniel, Kewanee, Bernard David, Kewanee, Madlyn (Jerry VanDeVelde) David, Kewanee; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Luke) Peed, Kayla, David, Alyssa (Michael) Washburn, Anthony, Sawyer, Emmett; and six great grandchildren, Carter, MaKenna, Ana, Wesley, Evelyn, and another great grandson on the way, Bradyn. She was preceded in death by her parents; stepdad, Chuck Dumbauld; former husband and special friend, Eddie David; son, Michael David DeKoster; daughter, Julie Ann DeKoster; and grandson, Riley Nanninga.Jan worked for Harvey's Beauty Salon and was self-employed as a beautician, retiring after 50 years. During her teenage years she enjoyed swimming and was in professional high dive. She also enjoyed dancing at the Flemish and going to bingo. Jan enjoys spending time outdoors and doing puzzles.Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, May 21, 2022, at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at the American Legion. A private family scattering of ashes will take place at a later date.
