Janice Zang Obituary

Janice L. Zang, 70, of Kewanee, died Thursday, June 17, 2021, at OSF St. Mary Medical Center, Galesburg. Janice was born March 7, 1951 in Kewanee, the daughter of Earl E. and Delores I. (Ward) Morrison. She attended Kewanee Schools. She was married to Gary Medley, they later divorced, she later married Fred Zang, he preceded her in death in 2003.Janice is survived by her son, Rodney (Jackie) Medley, Ovid, Michigan; daughter, Lisa Henderson, Eldersburg, Maryland; grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, and Morgan Medley, David Pumfrey, Matthew (April) Sherwin, Alexander, Nicholas, and Abigail Henderson; great granddaughter, Cora; siblings, Karla (Ed) Zaleski, Rock Island; Steve (Kay) Morrison, Milan; Teresa (John) Baker, Geneseo; many nieces and nephews; long-time partner, Doug Jones and his mother, Ellen Jones, Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents.Janice worked many different jobs, she was a nurse's aide, was in janitorial at Caterpillar, a manager at a video store, and a cashier at Kroeger's. During her later years she was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing and camping at the strip mines. Janice loved animals and flowers. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2:00, pm Thursday, June 24, 2021 at Pleasant View Cemetery.
