Jason G. DeWulf

Jason G. DeWulf, 36, of Galva, formerly of Kewanee, died Thursday, October 1, 2020 at his home. Jason was born November 18, 1983 in Carbondale, IL, the son of Martin and Laura (Davis) DeWulf. Jason graduated from Wethersfield High School with the class of 2003.Jason is survived by his mother, Laura DeWulf, Kewanee; sister, Jennifer (Joseph) Prokes, Castro Valley, CA; nephew, William Prokes; aunt, Lisa Rose, Peoria, Barbara (Lloyd) Braim, TN, uncles, Thomas (Liz) Davis, WA, David (Christine) Davis, Oklahoma City, OK, Terrance Davis, TN, Michael (Pam) Davis,Chicago, IL; and his great aunt, Joyce Dennis, Peoria. He was preceded in death by his father, Martin DeWulf; uncle, Keith Davis; paternal grandparents, Dorothy and George DeWulf, and maternal grandparents, Beatrice and Brooks Davis.Jason was a material handler at Big River Resources, Galva for 12 years. He enjoyed running machinery, running the train and loved working with his hands. He enjoyed being around little kids, cats and dogs. He was a Cardinals fan and played basketball in his younger years. He enjoyed target shooting and motorcycles. He enjoyed watching movies and TV shows, especially the Lord of the Rings. Jason was an avid reader; The Hobbit was his favorite. He loved to paint and draw. He was a witty guy and had a great sense of humor. He loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his nephew.
