Jason Manthe

Jason Manthe, 46, of Chillicothe, died Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Unity Point Methodist Hospital, Peoria. Jason was born April 10, 1975, in Kewanee, the son of James and Ruth Ann (Jurwich) Manthe. Jason graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1993. He attended Western Illinois University. Jason married Jeanne Craig; she survives. Jason is also survived by his father, James; his mother and stepfather, Ruth Ann and Paul "Dan" Bounds; brothers, Kirk (Lorie) Manthe, Kewanee, David Manthe, Geneseo; nephews and nieces, Ian and Jessica Manthe, Elizabeth and Alexis Manthe; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his two children, Edwin "Eddie" Craig and Evan Ann Manthe; and his stepmother, Sandy Manthe. Jason worked in quality control with Cast Industries in Peoria. He was very artistic. He enjoyed fishing and computer gaming. Jason especially enjoyed spending time with his family. A private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
