Jimmy “Tru” A. Hollins, II, 31, of Kewanee, died Sunday, March 24, 2024. Jimmy was born November 13, 1992, in Galesburg, the son of Jimmy A. Hollins and Lesa K, Hayden.
Jimmy is survived by his parents, Jimmy A. Hollins, and Lesa (Karl ”KG”) Griffin; daughter, Jordyn Hollins, Bloomington; son, Caden Reed, Bloomington; siblings, Kyle Hollins, Kewanee, Kayla Hollins, Kewanee; aunts and uncles, Bobby Vaughn, Kewanee, Trisha Vaughn, Kewanee, Jeri Washington, Mebane, NC, Marvin Vaughn, Philippines, Dwight Hollins, Polk City, Florida, Washington Griffin, Kewanee; cousins, Taylor Hollins, Julia Hollins, Julian Hollins, Tammy Vaughn, Dajsha Blanks; special friend, Madison Dearing. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy and Ozella Hollins; an uncle, Don Vaughn; and an aunt, Debra Hollins.
Jimmy has worked as a Laborer at Tyson’s and Great Dane. He excelled at all sports. He most of all, loved basketball, soccer, football and of course bowling at state. Jimmy’s interest and love of course, didn’t stop there; Michael Jordan, Lebron James were his sports idols growing up, his favorite past time was fixing up his truck and driving around, his favorite food was tater tot casserole, and he enjoyed music, comedy shows, gaming with his friends, spending time with his animals and loved ones. His heart was more than any interest or talent he had. Jimmy’s giving, warm and loving soul will forever radiate utmost of all.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 6, 2024, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm, Saturday, April 6,2024, at the funeral home. Pastor Andrew Christman will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee.
