Joan Mitchell Obituary

Joan E. Mitchell, 91, of Slingerlands, New York, formerly of Kewanee, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at St. Peter's Hospital, Albany, New York. Joan was born August 24, 1930 in Kewanee, the daughter of Emerit and Violet (Pickering) Hodge. She graduated Neponset High School. Joan married Donald Larson in 1950; he preceded her in death in 1980. Joan later married John Mitchell in Baudette, MN in 1989; he preceded her in death in 2016.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Christy (Richard) Cone', Ravena NY; granddaughter Tracy (Mark) Muccini, Cornwall, VT; nephew, James Hodge, Kewanee; and niece, Sue VanDeRostyne, Kewanee. Joan was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Edwin Hodge; and a nephew, Dennis Hodge.

Joan worked as an accountant for WKEI, retiring in 1982.
