Joyce A. Nosal

Joyce A. Nosal, 84, of Rock Island, formerly of Kewanee, passed Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Generations at Rock Island. Joyce was born June 3, 1937 in Kewanee, the daughter of William D. and Evelyn (Swearingen) Orr. She married her one love, John Nosal on September 28, 1957 at Saint Stanislaus Church.Joyce is survived by one daughter, Carrie (Mark) McIntire; siblings, Pattie Orr Almiller, Keith Orr, and William Orr. She was preceded in death by her husband, John J. Nosal; parents, William and Evelyn Orr; sisters, Janet and Cheryl Orr and an infant sister, Margaret Ann Orr. Joyce was a homemaker but she always dreamed of being a hairdresser. She became a beautician later in her life. She was an excellent swimmer and memories of her teaching Carrie will be forever in her heart. She enjoyed her time with her friends and long talks over coffee and dancingв?¦she loved to dance. Vacations driving to Colorado were amazing. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. She will rest by her husband John, in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
