Karen Shoen

Karen J. Shoen, 59, of Kewanee, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026 at her home. She was born November 7, 1966 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Donald Strum and Rose Route. She married Earl “Bill” Shoen on February 14, 1986 in Toloun, he survives.

Karen is survived by her husband; her mother; sons, Brian Shoen of Kewanee and Anthony “Tony” Shoen of Kewanee; grandchildren, Hayden Carlson, Levi Burlingham, Samantha Burlington, Samuel Burlingham, Jonathan Shoen, Zoey Wiley, and Memphis Wiley; brothers, Mike and Donald, Jr.; sister, Susan; she is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father and daughter, Kimberly Shoen. 

Karen worked at Great Dane for twelve years. Family was the most important thing to Karen, she enjoyed cooking for them and visiting with her grandchildren. Karen was ready to help anyone at any time.

Per Karen’s wishes, there will be no services.
