Karin P. Urquiza

Karin P. Urquiza, 80, of Kewanee, formerly of Chicago, died Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Hospital, Peoria. Karin was born September 21, 1940 in Worms, Germany the daughter of Theodore and Bringfriede (Ludwig) Weissenrieder. Karin married Charles G. Urquiza, who is the father of their surviving son; he preceded her in death in 2018.Karin is survived by son, Eric (Isabelle) Urquiza, Kewanee; granddaughter, Maria Urquiza, Chicago; and one brother Walter Weissenrieder. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and one brother, Havig.Karin worked as a Medical Secretary for Edgewater Hospital in Chicago most of her life. She enjoyed gardening and crocheting. One of her highlights was traveling to Mexico and having pina coladas and margaritas. She enjoyed shopping with her granddaughter, Maria and having weekly dinners with Charles.
