Lee Smith Obituary

Lee K. Smith, 79, of Kewanee, died Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at Betty’s Garden Memory Care, Kewanee. Lee was born August 19, 1943, in Kewanee, the daughter of Hermon and Eula Mae (Watson) Lindsey. Lee attended Kewanee High School, graduating with the class of 1961. Married James “Jim” Smith on May 15, 2010, in Kewanee; he preceded her in death on March 10, 2014.

Lee is survived by two sons, Derek Creamer, Estero, FL and Lane (Cheryl) Creamer, Melbourne, FL; six grandchildren, Brittney (Nick) Tierce, Courtney (Josh) Odom, Stefanie Creamer, Jamie (Abraham) Saul, Chad Creamer, Jasmine Bleu; two great grandchildren, Kimberly Odom, Makinley Odom; and brother, Randall (Delores) Lindsey, Fallbrook, CA; nephew and niece, Christopher and Angela. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.

Lee worked as an administrative assistant at the Henry County Courthouse. Lee enjoyed her personal relationship with Jesus Christ, sharing Him with others, and attending church. Lee was a strong woman of faith. She was a member of Encounter Church. She enjoyed modeling and fashion. She also enjoyed time spent with her friends and family; especially with her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 9:30 – 11:30 am, Monday, November 28, 2022, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 11:30 am, Monday, November 28, 2022, at the funeral home. Pastor Stephen McGough will officiate. Funeral service will also be livestreamed on the Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home Facebook page. Burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
