Lisa Anderson Obituary

Lisa R. Anderson, 45, of Reseda, California, formerly of Kewanee, was taken from us Friday, January 7, 2022, while traveling in Costa Rica with friends. Lisa was born July 16, 1976, in Kewanee, the daughter of Gregory and Linda (Ray) Anderson. She is survived by her parents; brother, Layne (Britta); niece, Rees; and a nephew, Charles. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Howard and Marjorie (Shearer) Anderson; and maternal grandparents, Loy and Arlene (Ripka) Ray.Lisa graduated from Chatham Glenwood High School and Southern Illinois University, Carbondale with a BA in Television Production. She worked in freelance television production as a script supervisor, production supervisor, associate director and coordinating producer. Various shows included; Kennedy Center Honors, Emmy Awards, Golden Globes, Grammys, Oscar Red Carpet, ESPY Awards, NFL Honors, Jerry Lewis MDA telethon, two presidential inauguration shows and various music show productions. She was a member of the Director's Guild of America and the Television and Motion Pictures Academy. Lisa was extremely loving and fiercely loyal to her family and friends. Some of her lifelong interests included the Cubs, photography, music, dancing, snowboarding, biking, and exploring the world. She was extremely excited to be in Chicago during the World Series and attended their championship parade. An angel has left us! Lisa will always be remembered for her infectious smile, her sense of humor, kindness for others, love of nature, and passion for life. Lisa was a gift to the world. She will forever be in our hearts. We will celebrate the great memories we shared and live life to the fullest in her honor. We love you!A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 - 4:00 pm, Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Shirley's Coffee Bar and Diner, 313 N Canal St, Annawan, Illinois.
