Lisa Townsend

Lisa Townsend, 55, of Kewanee, died Sunday, April 30, 2023, at her home. Lisa was born October 29, 1967, in Kewanee, the daughter of John E. and Shirley M. (Fischer) Wilson. Lisa married Jamie E. Townsend on March 24, 2012; he survives.

Lisa is also survived by four children, Ashleá (Bill Hargis) Townsend, Elizabeth Townsend, Jamie M. Townsend, Colton Townsend, all of Kewanee; four grandchildren, Schuyler, Garrett, Beau, and Neveah Hargis; and another on the way; siblings, Deb (Dave) Stevenson, Pam Wilson, Jason (Sasha) Wilson, all of Kewanee; and nieces and nephews, Nathan, Autumn, Johnny, Halie, Kylie, Hannah and Hunter. She was preceded in death by her parents and a granddaughter, Annalisa Hargis.

Lisa worked for Petersen Health Care, at Royal Oaks and Kewanee Care as a housekeeping/laundry supervisor. She enjoyed dancing and singing. Lisa also enjoyed doing crafts and going to yard sales. She was an excellent baker; she sent cookies to her nephew in Afghanistan and made dozens and dozens for Christmas. Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2023, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. A Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 pm, Friday, May 12, 2023, at the funeral home. Pastor Andrew Christman will officiate. Burial will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Hog Capital Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation.
