Loren F. Lindstrom

Loren F. Lindstrom, 89, of Kewanee, died Saturday, October 23, 2021, at Galesburg Cottage Hospital. Loren was born May 17, 1932, in Kewanee, the son of Russell F. and Dorothy J. (Martin) Lindstrom. Loren attended Wethersfield High School graduating with the class of 1950. Loren married D. Dianne Otis on September 7, 1958; she survives.Loren is also survived by three children, Lisa (Chris) Hammons, Kewanee; Paul Lindstrom, Lithia, FL, Craig (Kimberli) Lindstrom, Kewanee; grandchildren, Natalie Sober, Andrew Stefani, Kristen Pontius, Autumn Brown, Alissa Eckardt, MacKenzie Lindstrom, Marlie Lindstrom; thirteen great grandchildren; sister, Janet Huber, Kewanee; and many nieces and nephews. Loren was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Larry; sister, Marilyn Humphrey; and brother-in-law, Jim Humphrey. Loren served in the United States Airforce for four years. Loren owned and operated Di-Lor Florist and Greenhouse for 40 years. Loren was a school bus driver for Wethersfield Schools for 40 years. He was an organist for First Presbyterian, United Methodist Church, Kewanee and New Hope United Methodist Church, Neponset. Loren was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed music, gardening, and flowers. Loren also enjoyed the homestead. Loren loved family; especially spending time with his grandchildren and watching their activities. Visitation will be from 4:00 - 6:00 pm, Thursday, October 28, 2021, at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 pm, Friday, October 29, 2021, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Memorials may be made to Wethersfield Introductory to Carpentry Class, Wethersfield Academic Foundation, or the First Presbyterian Church.
