Lorraine J. Reed

Lorraine Reed, 71, of Kewanee, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Arcadia Care at Kewanee. Lorraine was born October 2, 1953, in Tiskilwa, the daughter of Oscar W. and Ruth E. (Henderson) Anderson. Lorraine attended school at the Tiskilwa School District. Lorraine married Lane Reed in September of 1989, in Kewanee; he survives.

She is also survived by four children, Angie (Larry, Jr.) Wright, Amber (Derek) Gerard, Blake Reed, Kathryn (William) Woods, six grandchildren, Chase, Conner, Addison, Addam, Skylene, Aiden; two siblings, Lois Osborn, Phillip Anderson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; and her father and mother-in-law, Herbert and Carolyn Reed.

Lorraine worked at the Star Courier as an inserter. She later worked in the deli at Walmart; retiring in 2018. Lorraine enjoyed gardening, interior design, and crafts. She was an amazing cook; she had numerous recipes printed in the Star Courier. During her younger years she enjoyed painting and playing in a bowling league. Lorraine loved her family, she especially loved celebrating at Christmastime.
