Lu Ann Hammons

LuAnn Hammons, 68, of Galva, passed away Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at OSF St. Luke’s Medical Center, Kewanee. LuAnn was born March 24, 1957, in Kewanee, the daughter of Harold J. and Berneice A. (Bryner) Erickson. LuAnn attended Kewanee High School, graduating with the class of 1975. She married Pat Hammons in 1986, they later divorced; he survives.

LuAnn is also survived by one daughter, Jennica Gearhart; and her two grandsons, Revan and Kayden Gearhart. She was preceded in death by her parents.

LuAnn worked as a bartender for many years at Wanee Farm and a family operated bar. LuAnn was an animal lover and had two beloved dogs, Poncho and Gunner.

Visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 pm, Friday, January 16, 2026, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. A private family burial will take place at a later date in Pleasant View Cemetery.
