Margaret L. Berlin

Margaret L. Berlin, 88, of Kewanee, died Sunday, October 8, 2023, at Kewanee Care Home. Margaret was born December 28, 1934, in Kewanee, the daughter of Eddis and Cora (King) Stout. She attended Lafayette Schools throughout her childhood. Margaret married John W. “Jack” Berlin, on March 31, 1957, in Kewanee; he preceded her in death on August 23, 2013.

Margaret is survived by one son, Pat (Pam) Berlin, Bradford; one daughter, Peggy Berlin, Kewanee; five grandchildren, Amber (Louco) Berlin-Luc, Angie (Troy) Wall, Chad Berlin, Ashlee Boers, Todd (Ashley) Boers; eight grandchildren, Johnathon Boers, Hunter Boers, Arlo Boers, Kassie King, Kendall King, Kellen Wall, Kinsley Wall, Kennedy Wall; and a brother, Donnie Stout. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; grandson, Andy Huffman; great-grandson, Kaden Wall; and a brother and sister-in-law, Earl (Dolores) Stout.

After High School Margaret started a job at a dentist’s office, then going to the Midland Country Club. Before retirement she was most recently employed at Harper Wyman in Princeton. Margaret liked to play card games with a big group of friends and spend time with family. She enjoyed trail riding horses with her kids in her younger years. Margaret would travel with Peggy to many different horse shows. She also adored watching her grandkids show animals for 4-H.

Visitation will be at 5:00 – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at Golnick- Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Golnick- Schueneman Funeral Home. Reverend Terry Lancaster will officiate. Graveside service will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
