Margaret Watson Obituary

Margaret A. Watson, 80, of Kewanee, died Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Kewanee Care. Margaret was born December 13, 1940, in Kewanee, the daughter of Joseph, Sr. and Verna (Dennis) Watson. She graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1958. Margaret is survived by her nieces, Lynn Gardner, Peoria, Susan (Nelson) Valerio, California, Kendra (Brian) Showalter, Marquette Heights, IL; and nephews, Mark (Jill) Watson, Williamsfield, Dana Watson, Decatur. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joseph, Jr.; and sister, Luella Heise.Margaret was a secretary at Kewanee Machinery and Conveyor, retiring in January 2005 from Bush Hog Parts Distribution Center in Davenport. She was a member at the First Baptist Church. She enjoyed being a part of Hannah Circle, Seekers Sunday School Class, the chancel choir, the communion committee, and the mission board. She was a deaconess for several terms as well and enjoyed teaching the four- and five-year old's Sunday school class until 2004. Margaret enjoyed the Jug Club Curley Q's Square Dance. She was an avid bowler. Visitation will be 9:30 - 10:30 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the First Baptist Church. Funeral Services will be 10:30 am, Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the church. Pastor Jon Vincent will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.
