Martha Albert Obituary

Martha Elizabeth Albert, 75, of Bloomington passed away at her residence and surrounded by family on Wednesday, March 22, 2023. She was born August 4, 1947 in Sheffield, IL to Gilbert William and Elizabeth Ann (Boyd) Madsen.

Martha graduated from Western High School of Buda in 1965 and attended classes at ISU. She worked as a systems analyst for GTE for over 30 years, before retiring and enjoying her hobbies. Martha was a member of the LeRoy United Methodist Church as well as the Ladies Book Club and she often volunteered with Meals on Wheels in LeRoy. She loved to quilt, garden, house keep, and most of all, spend time with her family and friends.

Martha is survived by her son, Todd Morris of Bloomington, IL; sisters, Mary Frances (Steve) Hetherington of Wyanet, IL, Marlowe Jean (Brock) Tumbleson of Kewanee, IL; nieces and nephews, Nathaniel Boyd Tumbleson of Phoenix, AZ, Jacob Tumbleson of Moline, IL, Maggie (Chad) Winter of Kewanee, IL, Tricia (Brian) Hetherington-Evans of Las Vegas, NV; and great nieces and great nephews, Grant Tumbleson, Elliana Tumbleson, Myles Winter, Lexi Winter, and Lucas Winter. She is preceded in passing by her spouses, Larry Russell Morris, Richard Allen Albert; and parents, Gilbert William Madsen, Elizabeth “Betty Ann” Madsen.

Cremation rites have been accorded with East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A public visitation will be held on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., with Pastor Mattheis Lorimor to officiate. Inurnment will be held at East Lawn Memorial Gardens, Bloomington at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to LeRoy United Methodist Church or The ALS Association. Condolences and memories may be left with the family at eastlawnmemorial.com
