Martin Hoadley

Martin J. Hoadley, 67, of Kewanee, died Sunday, April 25, 2021 at his home. Martin was born June 23, 1953 in Kewanee, the son of Sherman W., Jr and Doris L. (Johnson) Hoadley. He graduated with the class of 1971 from Kewanee High School. Martin married Bonnie S. DeWitt on June 26, 1999 in Kewanee; she survives.Martin is also survived by their daughter, Heather Hoadley, Kewanee; stepdaughter, Jennifer L. Johnson (Gary Boberg), Cambridge; and numerous cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, John Hoadley.Martin was self-employed doing autobody. He was a jack of all trades. Martin enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, and mushrooming. He enjoyed taking care of the garden, bird watching, and being outside. Martin enjoyed classic rock and taking Bonnie to concerts. He enjoyed watching the drag races in Cordova and the Quad Cities Airshow. He was a member of the NRA and the Planetary Society. Martin never hesitated to help someone in need. He enjoyed taking his family traveling; he especially loved spending time with his family.Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, April 30, 2021 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Masks are required and please observe social distancing guidelines. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, May 1, 2021 at the funeral home. Pastor Andrew Christman will officiate.
