Mary A McIntire

Mary A. McIntire, 69 of Kewanee, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, March 30, 2022. Mary was born November 24, 1952, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Millen) McIntire. Mary graduated from Kewanee High School in 1970, and then earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from IL Wesleyan University. During her nursing career, Mary worked as a nurse at Kewanee Public Hospital Emergency Room; office of Dr Lopez, Parungao & Associates; OSF St. Francis EMS Dept; and as a school nurse for the Kewanee School District until her retirement in 2014.Mary is survived by Kevin Ruzas; one sister, Catherine McIntire, Las Vegas, Nevada; one brother, Dave (Julie) McIntire, Florida; sister-in-law, Suzan McIntire of Kewanee, along with nieces and nephews, Brett McIntire, Darren McIntire, Deeann Schmitt, Mark McIntire, Suzanne Grove, Kathy McIntire, Pam Niedziela, Jill Niedziela, Rebecca Crockett, Rachael Peterson and Thomas McIntire. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert McIntire, Tom McIntire, sister, Nancy Niedziela and nephew, Jeff Niedziela.Visitation will be Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 3:00 - 5:00 pm at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home, Kewanee, IL. Funeral services will be on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Deacon Marty Van Meltebeck will officiate. Private burial will be at a later date.
