Michael Dye Obituary

Michael R. Dye, 71, of Rockford, passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Arcadia of Toulon. Michael was born July 21, 1954, in Anchorage, Alaska, the son of Ivan R. and E. Vanesse (Sharp) Dye. He attended high school in Belvidere, graduating with the class of 1972.

Michael is survived by his parents; two children, Andrew (Jamie) Dye, Aledo, TX, Amber (Paul) Huntington, Belvidere, IL; four grandchildren, Kadence Dye, Cavin Dye, Ethan Huntington, Emmitt Huntington; and a sister, Cindy Marino, Naperville, IL.

Michael worked at Barber Coleman in Loves Park, IL as a printed circuit board designer. He loved his motorcycles, cars and spending time with his dog, Mister. Michael was into technology and was quite the guru. He was always tinkering and building things.
