Nellie J. Yarde

Nellie J. Yarde, 92, of Arvada, CO, formerly of Kewanee, died Sunday, January 3, 2021, at home surrounded by family. She was born August 22, 1928 in Reed Point, Montana, the daughter of Ora and Eugenia (Ditmars) Thurman. Nellie married Dale Yarde on September 6, 1949 in Jacksonville, IL; he preceded her in death in 1999.Nellie is survived by her three sons, Scott (Jean) Yarde, Westminster, CO; Curtis (Marla) Yarde, Arvada, CO, Keith (Karen) Yarde, St. Peters, MO; four grandchildren, Erin Finot, Lindsey Ladd, Bryan Yarde, and Ellyn Remarcke; four great grandchildren, Gabin and Tessa Finot and Kaden and Finley Ladd. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dale. Nellie last worked as a teller at Peoples National Bank in Kewanee before retiring in 1990. She relocated to Colorado in 2009. Nellie enjoyed reading and was an avid cross-stitch craftsperson.Graveside Services will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Pleasant View Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate. Masks required and please observe social distancing. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. There will be no public visitation.
