Norma Shank

Norma Shank, 93, of Kewanee, died Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Kewanee Care. Norma was born August 24, 1930, in Carroll, IA, the daughter of Otto and Ethel (Liehti) Bruggeman. She graduated from Arcadia Iowa High School.

Norma is survived by a son, Gary (Kathleen) Shank, San Jose, CA; a daughter, Kim (Doug) Anderson, White City, KS; a son-in-law, Mark Schmitt, Milwaukee, WI; four granddaughters, Laura Sandeep Poonen, Los Altos, CA, Colleen Shank, Portland, OR, Kari (Chip) Wagner, Olathe, KS, Diana (Alan) Zumbrunn, Junction City, KS; five grandsons, Daniel (Yesenia) Shank, San Jose, CA, Matthew (Annie) Kaiser, Neponset, IL, Alex Anderson, Manhattan, KS, Bradley (Ashley) Christman, Eudora, KS, Ryan (Lauren) Christman, Denver, CO; nine great grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Campbell, Fort Dodge, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Vicki Lynn Schmitt; and two brothers, Larry Bruggeman and Merle Bruggeman.

Norma worked for Kroger’s as a cashier. She loved being outdoors, fishing and the Chicago Cubs.
