Ozella Vaughn Hollins, 92, of 1216 Roseview Ave, Kewanee, died Thursday, September 29, 2022, at Kewanee Care Home. Ozella was born October 3, 1929, in Columbus, Mississippi, the daughter of Robert and Julia (Thomas) Vaughn. She married Jimmy Hollins; he preceded her in death on August 3, 1977.
Ozella is survived by four sons, Robert “Bobby” Vaughn, Kewanee, Marvin Vaughn, Las Vegas, NV, Dwight Hollins, Florida, Jimmy Hollins, Kewanee; two daughters, Jerry Vaughn, Mebane, North Carolina, Nusturia “Trisha” Vaughn, Kewanee; granddaughters, Tammy Vaughn and Taylor Hollins; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Don Vaughn; daughter, Deborah Hollins; sister, Rose Bell; and a brother, Elisha Vaughn.
Ozella worked for the division of Admiral, which later became Rockwell Manufacturing in Galesburg, until retiring in 1982. Ozella was a seamstress, a quilter and enjoyed sewing for everyone. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and cooking. Ozella especially loved spending time with family.
