Patricia "Pat" A. Crockett

Patricia “Pat” A. Crockett, 87, of Kewanee, died Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo. Pat was born June 30, 1936, in Kewanee, the daughter of George and Helen (Schambar) Bybokas. Pat married David “Davy” G. Crockett on May 26, 1956, in Kewanee; he preceded her in death on February 9, 2016.

Pat is survived by a daughter, Lynne Tucker, Kewanee; a son, John (Carrie) Crockett, Kewanee; seven grandchildren, Josh, Daisha (Steve) Welch, Zach (Sean Starbuck), Dalton, Jessica (Andrew DeSmit), Alex VanDevoorde, Emilee Gillespie; eight great grandchildren, Ciara, Olivia, Aryana, David, Thomas, Clara, Aiden, Evie; and a brother, James (Kathy) Bybokas, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Laurie Crockett; and a grandson, Justin Crockett.

Pat worked as a clerk at Wonder Bread. Pat's passion for the arts of quilting, sewing, knitting, and crocheting was not only a personal joy but also a legacy she lovingly passed down to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Beyond her crafting talents, Pat was deeply involved in the lives of her family. She was a cornerstone, providing guidance, support, and unconditional love. She was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish and a woman’s quilting club.
