Paula VerVynck Obituary

Paula A. VerVynck, 71, of Kewanee, died Sunday, February 19, 2023, at Royal Oaks Care Center. Paula was born January 5, 1952, in Princeton, the daughter of Warren Alfred and Lucia Joy (Clayton) Titus. She married Walt VerVynck in Kewanee, they later divorced but remained friends; he survives.

Paula is also survived by one son, Joseph VerVynck, Galesburg; two daughters, Misty (Jason) Patterson, Crestview, FL and Darcy McCommons, Kewanee; nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Dallas, Austin, Alan, Brendan, Connor, Isabelle, Tess, Liviann; six great-grandchildren and another on the way; three sisters, Jannifer (Keith) Smith, Nappanee, IN, Kay Novak, Cambridge, Sylvia Boese, Wyanet; and her Royal Oaks family. Paula was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Scott and Tommy VerVynck; one brother-in-law, John Boese; and a nephew, Clayton Boese.

Paula was a customer service representative for General Mills. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and playing pool. She adored her grandkids and knitting blankets for them. Paula had a love for any kind of music like the oldies, the Beatles, or just singing Happy Birthday to everyone.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2023, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, February 24, 2023, at the American Legion. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Henry County Humane Society, Kewanee.
