Richard "Dick" Clark Obituary

Richard “Dick” W. Clark, 89, of Kewanee, died Monday, February 6, 2023, at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care. Dick was born November 14, 1933, in Kewanee, the son of Roy W. and Agnes M. (Sauer) Clark. His father passed away when he was a young boy and he was raised by his step-father, Verne Duncan. He attended Kewanee and Osceola schools, graduating from Kewanee High School with the class of 1953. He married the love of his life, Bea Addis, on March 4, 2000, at Windmont Park.

Dick is survived by his wife, Bea; children, Debra Roser, Pamela (Larry “Happy) Wendt, Randy Clark; stepdaughters, Justine (Tina) Aldred, Julie Hochstatter, Lynda Kwiatkowski; sister, Barbara Tinker; grandchildren, step grandchildren, great grandchildren, step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather; sister, Betty; brothers, William “Joe” and Ronald Clark; stepdaughter, Georgine Barringer; his first wife, Jacqueline (Croegaert); and his second wife, Regenia (Rogers).

Dick served in the US Army during the Korean War, where he was stationed in Germany and France. He also served in the Illinois National Guard. Dick worked for Walworth and later for Case IH, where he retired in 1991. Dick was a member of the VFW Post 8078, the Royal Order of the Moose, the UAW Local 1304 retirees club, the American Legion, and 40&8 Club. He was on the fire and police commission and the zoning board of appeals for the City of Kewanee. He also volunteered his time for the Traveling Living Wall. He was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. His love of life, family and friends was contagious. He enjoyed his flowers and always had an outstanding flower garden. In his early years he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Visitation will be from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, February 11, 2023, at the funeral home. Father Johndamaseni Zilimu will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery at a later date. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council.
