Robert H. Blankenship

Robert H. Blankenship, 88, of Tucson, Arizona, formerly of Kewanee, passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021 in Tucson at his home. Robert was born March 11, 1933 in Tuscumbia, Alabama the son of Filo E. and Minnie M. (Huskey) Blankenship. Robert married Shirley VanDamme in Macon, Missouri on December 31, 1975; she preceded him in death on January 4, 2018.Robert is survived by one daughter, Vickie Mclaughlin, Tucson; one son, Bobbie Blankenship, Kewanee; two sisters, Rebecca Johnson, Indiana, Marilyn Romans, Alabama; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley; four brothers; two sisters; and one granddaughter, Larresa Whittington.Robert served his country in the United States Army, having served during the Korean War from 1953 until 1955. Robert was a welder for John Deere, retiring August 1, 1993. Graveside services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Erie Cemetery.
