Robert Bumphrey Obituary

Robert C. Bumphrey, 72, of Kewanee, died Sunday, January 1, 2023. Robert was born September 16, 1950, in Kewanee, the son of Clayton and Darlene (Smith) Bumphrey. Robert attended Kewanee Schools, graduating with the class of 1968.

Robert is survived by one daughter, Melissa (Justin) Ford, Kewanee; two grandchildren, Aaron and Laynie Ford; and siblings, Ron Bumphrey, Connie (Harold) Brants, Gerald Bumphrey, Mindy Bumphrey. Robert was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bradley Bumphrey, and a brother, Dennis Bumphrey.

Robert worked as a laborer for many years. He worked at Lake Street Tavern as a bartender for many years. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Per Robert’s wishes cremation has been accorded and there will be a private graveside service at a later date. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Please leave an online condolence for Robert’s family at www.golnickschuenemanfh.com.
