Robert Stewart

Robert "Bob" M. Stewart, 85, of Kewanee, died Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Hillcrest Nursing Home, Geneseo. Bob was born January 28, 1936, in Kewanee, the son of Ralph and Elizabeth (Moraski) Stewart. Bob graduated from Kewanee High School with the class of 1953.Bob is survived by two sons, Ty (Jan) Stewart, Tustin, CA, Todd Stewart, Palm Desert, CA; four grandchildren, Tyli, Brandi, ArronLea, Clint; two great granddaughters Leah and Maiya Stewart; one great grandson, Ayden Stewart, with another great grandson on the way; special friend, Sue McIntire; four brothers, William, Bernard (Rosaura), Bruce (Patricia), and Bryan Stewart; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Elizabeth Louise; and a brother, Benjamin.Bob served his country in the United States Army during the Cold War. Bob worked in sales for several different companies. He enjoyed fishing and watching the Cubs and Notre Dame football. He liked coaching, umpiring, and organizing baseball games. He was a member of the St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, Friday, October 15, 2021 at Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home. Rosary will be at 4:30 pm prior to the visitation. Masks are required and please observe social distancing guidelines. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, October 16, 2021, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church. Father James Owusu-Yeboah will officiate. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Private burial will be at a later date in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
