Roger Olson

Roger K. Olson, 81, of Toulon, formerly of Buda, died Thursday, November 26, 2020 at Toulon Rehabilitation & Health Care Center. He was born September 9, 1939 in Wyanet, the son of Arnold and Kathryn (Johnson) Olson. He attended Buda Schools.Roger is survived by his very close friends, Kent and Cheryl Balensiefen, Buda; their children who Roger was very fond of and thought of as his family, Jordan (Luke) Lanxon, Sheffield, Nicole (Justin) Doty, Walnut, Blake (Lexi Kruse) Balensiefen, their children, Jovi, Sawyer and Jentry. He was preceded in death by his parents.Roger worked as a janitor for the Buda Schools, he was also a self-employed painter and wall paperer. He loved model trains, woodworking, Roger was a true craftsman having designed his home. He loved reading Cowboy and Indian magazines. Roger really enjoyed collecting antiques including dishes and coins. He was a member of the Buda Methodist Church in his younger years.Graveside service will be at 10:30 am on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at the Sheffield Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Drane will officiate. There will be no visitation. Due to Covid-19 regulations, face masks and social distancing must be observed. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross and left at the funeral home.
