Rosemary Entas

Rosemary Entas, 93, of Kewanee, died Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at Hillcrest Home, Geneseo. Rosemary was born May 20, 1927 in Atkinson, the daughter of Walter and Mayme (Cowells) DeRoo. She graduated from Atkinson High School. Rosemary married Anton "Tony" Entas on May 25, 1947 at St. Anthony Catholic Church, Atkinson; he preceded her in death on June 11, 1998. Rosemary is survived by their four children, Tom (Diana) Entas, Beth (David) Bisschop, Charles (Carol) Entas, Ann (Marty) Stodgel, all of Kewanee; and nine grandchildren, RoseMarie Behringer, Peoria, Martin Stodgel, Galva, Angie Schnibben, Washington, IL, April Woods, Kewanee, Addison Behringer, Peoria, Sam Schnibben, Washington, IL, Jacob Woods, Zack Woods, and Nick Woods, of Kewanee. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony; and her sister, Ruth Gentry.Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church until their closure, she then was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church, Galva. She was a lifetime member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She enjoyed reading, music, sewing and gardening. She volunteered in Beth's 2nd grade classroom. She especially loved spending time with her family. Those who knew and loved her will miss her sweet smile, quick sense of humor, and of course her generous, loving heart.A Private Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 21, 2020 at St. John's Catholic Church, Galva. Father John Burns will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Kewanee Humane Society, St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Kewanee Public Library.
