Roxanne Stone

Roxanne Stone, 58, of Neponset, died Friday, October 29, 2021, at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice House, Peoria. Roxanne was born July 31, 1963, in Sioux Falls, SD, the daughter of Don and Pat (Johnson) Voels. Roxanne attended and graduated from Neponset Schools. Roxanne married Timothy Stone on August 8, 1981, in Neponset; he preceded her in death on May 28, 2007. Roxanne was engaged to Kenny Verbout; he survives.Roxanne is also survived by her mother, Pat; two daughters, Trishia (Ellis) Ericson, Kewanee, Nichole (Michael) Wealer, Henry, IL; Kenny's daughter, Jamie (Matt) Swearingen, Sheffield, four grandchildren, Hope and Hannah Ericson, Wyatt and Whitney Wealer; sister, Cindy Holton, Neponset; and a brother, Mark Voels, Neponset. She was preceded in death by her father; husband; brother-in-law, Wayne Holton; sister-in-law, Judy Voels.Roxanne worked for Ace Hardware in loss prevention, in Princeton. Prior to Ace she worked for Dr. Cheng's and Red's Bar in Sheffield. Roxanne enjoyed riding horses and hunting deer. She was an avid Cubs and Bears fan. She was on the Rescue Squad in Buda and ran the 4H horse show in Princeton. She loved spending time with her family; especially her grandchildren.A Celebration of Life will be from 3:00 - 5:00 pm, Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Red's in Sheffield.
