Shannon J. Devine

Shannon J. Devine, 66, of Kewanee, passed away, Friday, April 3, 2026, at the Department of VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA. He was born April 28, 1959, in Kewanee, the son of James and Marilyn (Thompson) Devine. Shannon attended Kewanee Schools.

Shannon was a truck driver. He enjoyed playing poker, hanging out with his friends and family.

Shannon is survived by his two sons, Dustin (Erin) Bucy, North Carolina, Andrew (Jennifer) Bucy, Kewanee; grandchildren, Mason, Isla, Elijah, Noah, Ezra, Sofia, and Luna Bucy; one sister, Sherril (Joe) Paxton, Florida; and one uncle, Jack Thompson, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Cindy; three brothers, Mike Devine, Stewart Greenhagen, and Steven Devine.

Visitation will be from 10:00 to 11:00 am on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm at the Rock Island National Cemetery. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Memorials can be made to the Kewanee Veterans Council.
