Sherry attended Kewanee Schools, graduating with the class of 1965. Sherry married Leonard Scott on June 19, 1976, under the old oak tree at the farm in Bradford; he survives.

She was preceded in death by her father; sister, Mary “Lainey” Huffman; stepson, Addam Scott; and a nephew, Wyatt Scott.
Sherry was a homemaker who was the greatest mother; she especially loved taking care of her family and cooking for them. She had a heart of gold and stood strong by her beliefs. She was a beautiful woman inside and out who never seemed to age. She would easily light up the room with her sweet smile and silly little voices. She made everyone feel loved. She was simply a beautiful soul. She could sing and dance and shake that tambourine. Her talents were showcased in her band, JJ and Company, where she was the vocalist. Besides her musical talents, she was an artist. She was a painter, a writer, and a woodworker. She was crafty to say the least. Sherry also enjoyed the outdoors when it came to beautiful landscapes, especially those sunflowers. She even ventured into the woods with Leonard, but she did not stray to far.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 12:30 pm, Saturday, February 3, 2024, at the funeral home.
