Timothy “Tim” A. Wells, 55, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of Kewanee, passed away Monday, February 10, 2025, at his home in Colorado. Tim was born April 10, 1969, in Kewanee, the son of Manfred and Carol (Malone) Wells. Tim attended Wethersfield during his 9th and 10th grade and then attended and graduated from Kewanee High School, graduating with the class of 1987. He married Robin Mathis, they later divorced and remained friends.
Tim is survived by his daughter, Megan Wells, Colorado Springs, CO; his two godsons, Brandon and Tyler Swift, Geneseo, IL; and his two beloved dogs, Dingus and Spoopy. He was preceded in death by his parents; his second mom, Karen Zimmerman; and his two good friends, Aaron “Kirk” Zimmerman and Jason Swift.
Tim served in the United States Army Reserves from 1992 – 1997; in the Reserves he joined the 91 Bravo as a Medic. During his active duty he was a Unit Supply Specialist until his discharge in 2010 as a Staff Sargent. He did three tours overseas in Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq during his time in the Army. He worked as a contractor for the United States Army at Fort Hood, as a Supply Logistics Specialist after he was discharged. Tim enjoyed watching movies, listening to music and shooting guns. Tim was always known for telling jokes. Traditional Sunday dinners with his family were the highlight of his week.
A private burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens. Military Rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council.
