Tom Kazubowski

Tom Kazubowski, 76, of Kewanee, died Sunday, October 30, 2022, OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Tom was born August 25, 1946, in Kewanee, the son of Donald and Carolyn (VanCoutren) Kazubowski. Tom graduated from Kewanee High School, with the class of 1965. He graduated from Morrison Technical Institute for drafting. Tom married Becky Ratliff on December 31, 2001, in Cambridge; she survives.

Tom is also survived by his sister, Jeanne Kazubowski, Sun City, Arizona; three sons, Shane Kazubowski, Jeff Kazubowski, Tom M. Kazubowski; one daughter, Kendra Kazubowski, all of Kewanee; two special grandchildren, Trey Kazubowski Kewanee, Briana Kazubowski, Katy, TX; mother and father-in-law, Tom (Judy) Ratliff; sisters-in-law, Lis and Hannah; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Donnie Kazubowski and Phillip Kazubowski; niece, Debbie Kazubowski; nephew, Kenneth Kazubowski; and a mother-in-law, Rose Ratliff.

Tom owned Tom’s Texaco on Main Street in Kewanee. He worked for Triangle Concrete as a manager. He retired in 2004. Tom was an antique John Deere tractor enthusiast. He belonged to a tractor club, they enjoyed parades and hanging out together. He enjoyed gardening and yard work. He also enjoyed cooking, Tom made the best horseradish and coconut crème pies. Tom was the most giving man. He enjoyed traveling with Becky; especially to the Bahamas.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm, Saturday, November 5, 2022, at Golnick-Schueneman Funeral Home. There will be a Celebration of Life – Memorial Tractor Ride in the spring, dates will be announced when set. Memorials may be made to Henry County Senior Citizen Center, Kewanee.
